New Blood-Sampling gadget tested for migraine drug study

NCT ID NCT05948085

First seen Feb 02, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study looked at whether a small device worn on the arm (Tasso) can collect blood samples as accurately as standard needle draws after taking the migraine drug zavegepant nasal spray. Fourteen healthy adults took part, and some also tried a butterscotch candy to see if it changed the taste of the spray. The goal was to see if the simpler device could be used in future studies, not to treat any disease.
