New pill tested for painful skin condition

Summary
This study is testing an investigational oral medication called zasocitinib for adults with moderate to severe hidradenitis suppurativa (HS), a chronic and painful skin condition. For the first 4 months, participants will be randomly assigned to receive either the study drug or a placebo (a pill with no medicine). After that, all participants will receive the study drug for up to 8 more months. The main goals are to see if the drug is safe and if it can reduce the number of painful skin lumps and abscesses by at least 75%.
