Yoga may soothe brain injury symptoms, small study suggests
NCT ID NCT03701594
First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This small pilot study looked at whether a single yoga-based physical therapy session could improve heart rate variability (a measure of stress resilience) in people with traumatic brain injury. Thirteen adults participated in three different activities on separate days: yoga therapy, standard physical therapy, and seated rest. Researchers also checked if yoga helped with anxiety, fatigue, agitation, and sleep. The goal was to see if a larger study on regular yoga practice is worth doing.
