Can a smartphone yoga app ease cancer treatment stress?

NCT ID NCT06919874

First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study is testing whether a mobile app that guides users through yoga poses is practical and safe for people with lung cancer who are getting radiation therapy, and for their family caregivers. About 60 patient-caregiver pairs will try the app at home. The goal is to see if people find it easy to use and if it causes any problems, not yet to measure health benefits.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance

mobile app-based yoga program

What this could lead to

If successful, this could provide a convenient, home-based way for patients and caregivers to manage stress and improve well-being during cancer treatment.

What could go wrong

This is a small, early-stage study (60 participants) focused on usability and safety, not on proving health benefits. The app may not be suitable for everyone, and technical issues could arise.
