First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests a new drug, YK012, in people with moderate to severe systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). The drug is designed to target certain immune cells. The trial will check for safety, side effects, and early signs that the drug might help control lupus. About 189 adults aged 18 to 75 are being recruited.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
YK012 (a bispecific antibody that targets CD19 and CD3 on immune cells)
What this could lead to
If it works, this could point toward a new treatment option for people with moderate to severe lupus, potentially helping to control the disease.
What could go wrong
This is an early-phase trial (Phase 1/2) with only 189 participants, so it is too soon to know if YK012 is safe or effective. Side effects, including serious ones, are possible.
