Yerba mate study hopes to brew better cholesterol numbers
NCT ID NCT06896175
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looks at whether the time of year yerba mate is harvested and how people drink it (as hot mate, cold tereré, or both) can improve cholesterol and fat levels in the blood. About 198 regular yerba mate drinkers in Paraguay will be assigned to different groups and have their cholesterol checked over 6 months. The goal is to see if these factors can help manage lipid disorders.
