Could yeast protein be the next Muscle-Building superfood?
NCT ID NCT07561619
First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study compares a yeast-based protein supplement to whey protein (from milk) to see if it can help build muscle just as well. Seventy-two healthy adults aged 18-35 who already do resistance training will take either yeast or whey protein for 16 weeks while continuing their workouts. The main goal is to measure changes in muscle mass. If yeast protein works, it could provide a more sustainable protein source.
