Yeast protein takes on whey in Muscle-Building showdown
NCT ID NCT07561619
First seen May 07, 2026 · Last updated May 07, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether a yeast-based protein supplement can help build muscle just as well as whey protein (from milk) in healthy adults aged 18-35 who already do resistance training. Over 16 weeks, 72 participants will take either yeast or whey protein while exercising. The main goal is to measure changes in muscle mass, with secondary looks at muscle function and health markers. This is not a treatment for any disease.
