New pill aims to ease lingering shingles pain

Summary

This study tests a new drug called Y-4 for people with long-term nerve pain after shingles (postherpetic neuralgia). About 160 adults will take either Y-4 or the standard drug pregabalin for 14 weeks. Researchers will check if Y-4 reduces daily pain better and is safe to use.
