NCT ID NCT06425120
First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 26, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether Xuesaitong soft capsules, an herbal medicine, can reduce inflammation and other risk factors in 240 adults with stable coronary heart disease. Participants take either the capsule or a placebo daily for 12 weeks. The main goal is to see if the capsule lowers a key inflammation marker called hsCRP.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
Xuesaitong soft capsule (herbal medicine)
What this could lead to
If it works, this could provide a new option to reduce inflammation and heart risks for people with coronary heart disease.
What could go wrong
This is a mid-stage trial with only 240 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. The herbal supplement may not work better than placebo.
