Blood mutation may reveal hidden lymphoma
NCT ID NCT02815137
First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated May 09, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study looked at whether a specific genetic change (XPO1 E571K) found in the blood of people with classical Hodgkin lymphoma can help doctors find leftover cancer after treatment. Researchers tested blood samples from 137 newly diagnosed patients before and after chemotherapy. They compared the mutation test results with standard PET scans to see which method better detects remaining disease. The goal is to improve monitoring and predict outcomes without extra procedures.
