Blood mutation may reveal hidden lymphoma after treatment

NCT ID NCT02815137

First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looked at 137 adults with newly diagnosed classical Hodgkin lymphoma to see if a specific genetic change (XPO1 E571K) found in their blood could signal whether cancer remains after chemotherapy. Researchers compared the blood test results with standard PET scans to measure how well the mutation detects leftover disease. The goal is to find a simpler, less expensive way to monitor treatment success.
