Summary

This phase 2 study tests an oral drug called XL092 (Zanzalintinib) in 32 men with metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer that has worsened after treatment with Lu-PSMA-617. Participants take one tablet daily at home. The main goal is to see how many men have their cancer stop growing after 16 weeks. Researchers will also monitor side effects and how well the drug works.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance

XL092 (Zanzalintinib) tablet taken once daily by mouth

What this could lead to

If it works, this could offer a new oral treatment option for men with advanced prostate cancer who have stopped responding to a previous therapy.

What could go wrong

This is a small, early-phase study with only 32 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. The drug may cause side effects or fail to control the cancer.
