Summary
This study is testing a brief writing therapy to help people who have both post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and a substance use disorder. Researchers want to see if writing about a traumatic event reduces PTSD symptoms and substance use, and how it affects the body's stress response and cravings. The study will involve 108 adults in residential addiction treatment.
