Wristband zaps tremors without brain surgery

NCT ID NCT03778060

Summary

This study is testing a wrist-worn device called Cala TWO that aims to reduce hand tremors in people with essential tremor. The device works by delivering gentle electrical stimulation to nerves in the wrist. Researchers are measuring how well it helps with daily activities and tremor severity over three months in 20 adults who are already scheduled for a different, more invasive surgery.
