First seen Jan 19, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a special type of acupuncture (wrist-ankle acupuncture) can help reduce pain after surgery on the anus or rectum. About 58 adults who have moderate to severe pain after surgery will receive this acupuncture along with standard care. Researchers will measure pain levels and how often extra pain medicine is needed, comparing people with muscle spasm pain versus wound pain.
