NCT ID NCT02620852
First seen Jan 08, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study compares two approaches to breast cancer screening: the standard annual mammogram starting at age 40 versus a personalized schedule based on each woman's individual risk. Researchers will enroll 100,000 women aged 30-74 across the U.S. to see if personalized screening reduces false alarms and unnecessary treatments while still catching cancers early. Participants can choose their preferred screening method or be randomly assigned.
