Life-Saving text alerts for new moms: can a simple monitor stop tragic deaths after childbirth?
NCT ID NCT04060667
Summary
This study is testing if a simple wireless monitor can help save mothers' lives after a C-section. Over 3,100 women in Uganda who had emergency C-sections wore the monitor for 24 hours after delivery. The system alerts doctors via text message if a mother's vital signs become dangerous, aiming to get life-saving help to her faster.
