Wireless bladder sensor could offer new hope for veterans with incontinence
NCT ID NCT05141487
Summary
This study is testing a new, smarter approach to nerve stimulation for Veterans with bladder control problems caused by spinal cord injuries or other neurological conditions. Researchers are using a small, wireless sensor placed in the bladder to detect when it's filling and then trigger nerve stimulation only when needed, aiming to reduce urine leakage. The goal is to see if this 'on-demand' system is practical and helps people go longer between bathroom trips and leak less urine.
