First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study looks at how hearing sensitivity (hyperacusis) might help language skills in children and adults with Williams syndrome. Researchers will use brain scans (EEG-NIRS) and questionnaires to compare participants with Williams syndrome, Down syndrome, and typical development. The goal is to understand the role of phonological short-term memory in language, not to test a treatment.
