First seen Jan 19, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 14 times
Summary
This study looks at whether teaching college women who diet about how the body naturally controls weight can change their beliefs about weight control and improve body image, self-esteem, and eating habits. About 150 undergraduate dieters will take part in one of three educational sessions. The goal is to see if learning to accept natural body weight leads to healthier attitudes and less dieting.
