Summary
This small, completed trial tested a new type of weight loss surgery for people with both obesity and type 2 diabetes. The procedure combined two surgical techniques to see if it could help patients lose weight and improve their diabetes control. Researchers monitored 18 participants to check the safety of the procedure and how well it worked for weight loss and blood sugar management.
