Weight loss classes in cardiac rehab may ease AFib symptoms

NCT ID NCT05600829

First seen Apr 02, 2026 · Last updated May 03, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study looks at whether adding online group weight loss classes to standard cardiac rehab helps people with atrial fibrillation (AFib) and obesity lose at least 10% of their body weight. Losing this much weight may reduce or even eliminate AFib symptoms. About 120 adults with AFib and obesity will take part, comparing those who get the extra weight loss support to those who only do cardiac rehab.
