Could new weight loss drugs replace blood pressure pills?
NCT ID NCT07364175
Summary
This pilot study compares two approaches for treating high blood pressure in young adults who are overweight or obese. Researchers will test whether new weight loss medications (like tirzepatide) can lower blood pressure more effectively than standard treatments that use blood pressure pills and lifestyle advice. The study aims to see if controlling weight could help some people manage their blood pressure without needing lifelong medication.
