Summary
This study aimed to test the safety and effectiveness of a new combination weight loss pill (sibutramine and topiramate) in overweight or obese adults, some of whom had other health conditions like high blood pressure. It compared the new pill to a dummy pill (placebo) and to one of the drugs by itself. The goal was to see if the combination helped people lose more weight.
