Could a popular weight loss shot also help tame Crohn's disease?

NCT ID NCT06774079

Summary

This small pilot study is testing whether adding a weight loss medication called tirzepatide (Zepbound) and a specific diet to standard Crohn's treatment can improve disease control. It will enroll 24 adults with mild Crohn's disease who are overweight and already on stable biologic medication. The main goal is to see if this combined approach is practical and helps patients stick to their treatment plan.
