Summary
This study aims to understand if having a higher body weight increases the risk of gum inflammation, tooth discoloration, and harmful mouth bacteria in teenagers getting braces. Researchers will observe 52 adolescents over 6 months, comparing those with higher and normal weight. They will collect saliva, examine teeth and gums, and track changes to see if weight is a factor in oral health during orthodontic treatment.
