Weekly insulin shot and arm sensor team up to tame blood sugar
NCT ID NCT05823948
Summary
This study tested whether a new, once-weekly insulin injection (icodec) could effectively control blood sugar in adults with type 2 diabetes when its dose was adjusted using data from a continuous glucose monitor worn on the arm. Participants, who had not used insulin before, wore the sensor and injected the insulin weekly for about 8 months. The main goal was to see how much this combination lowered a key long-term blood sugar marker (HbA1c).
