First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests a new insulin called GZR4 that is given once a week, compared to a standard daily insulin, in adults with type 2 diabetes who have never used insulin before. About 580 participants will receive either the weekly shot or daily insulin, along with their usual diabetes pills. The goal is to see if the weekly option controls blood sugar just as well, with fewer injections and similar safety.
