Summary
This study tests a web-based program called T.E.C.H. Parenting that teaches parents of middle-schoolers how to talk about media and set rules around it. The goal is to reduce kids' exposure to substance use in movies, shows, and online content, which may lower their risk of trying drugs or alcohol. Researchers will enroll 120 parents and track changes in parenting behaviors over time.
