Wristband buzzes stroke patients to move, fighting 'Learned Non-Use'
NCT ID NCT05900999
Summary
This study tested whether a simple wearable device could help people recovering from a recent stroke use their weaker arm more. The device gently vibrated to remind 42 participants to do simple arm exercises during their idle time in the hospital. Researchers wanted to see if these reminders were feasible, easy to use, and actually led to more arm movement.
