Smart watches could help doctors spot trouble during cancer therapy

NCT ID NCT05937659

Summary

This study is testing whether wearable health trackers (like smart watches) can be easily used to monitor patients during combined chemotherapy and radiation treatment for cancer. Researchers want to see if collecting daily health data (like heart rate and activity) helps doctors notice when patients might be struggling during treatment. The study involves 20 patients who will wear a device during their treatment and for 4 weeks after, uploading the data at clinic visits.
