Sensors could sound the alarm before surgery patients crash
NCT ID NCT06565559
Summary
This study is testing if wearable sensors can help spot early warning signs when a patient's health starts to decline after major surgery. Over 1300 patients in eight countries will wear chest and finger sensors for up to 10 days to record their heart rate and oxygen levels. The goal is to gather data to design future tools that might predict complications, but this study itself does not change patient care.
