First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This study tests a new wearable device that gently removes extra fluid between dialysis sessions. Many dialysis patients struggle with rapid fluid removal during treatment, which can damage the heart and brain. The device aims to safely remove leftover fluid at home, reducing harm and improving comfort. 18 adults on thrice-weekly dialysis will try it to see if it works and is comfortable.
