Fitbit after bladder surgery: could your smartwatch prevent a return to the hospital?

This study looks at whether wearable fitness trackers like Fitbit can help doctors spot early signs of complications in people recovering from bladder removal surgery (cystectomy). About 50 participants will wear a Fitbit before and after surgery and answer daily questions on their phone. If the device detects unusual heart rate or other changes, a healthcare provider will check in within 24 hours. The goal is to see if this approach is practical and can predict problems that might lead to hospital readmission.
