Buzz to save your back: wearable device aims to cut surgeon pain

NCT ID NCT06564519

Summary

This study tested whether a wearable device could help surgical residents reduce pain and improve their posture. The device gently vibrates when the wearer slouches, reminding them to stand up straight. Researchers wanted to see if using this device during laparoscopic surgery rotations would lead to less time in poor postures and fewer reports of muscle and joint pain.
