Wristband trackers aim to get cancer patients walking faster after surgery

NCT ID NCT07289685

Summary

This study tested whether using a simple wristband to track early walking after colorectal cancer surgery could help patients recover better. Researchers monitored 192 patients' activity, heart rate, and sleep for about a week after their operation. The goal was to see if encouraging movement right after surgery could reduce complications and help patients go home sooner.
