Summary

This study collected real-world data on the WATCHMAN FLX Pro device, which is implanted in the heart to close off a small pouch called the left atrial appendage. The goal is to reduce stroke risk in people with atrial fibrillation, potentially allowing them to stop taking long-term blood-thinning medications. Researchers followed 949 patients to check how well the device sealed and to monitor for serious complications like stroke or major bleeding.
