Summary

This study is testing whether a procedure called washed microbiota transplantation (WMT) can help people with type 1 diabetes better control their blood sugar and possibly reduce their daily insulin needs. Researchers will give 50 adults a transplant of processed healthy donor stool through a tube into the gut. The goal is to see if this treatment is safe and effective for managing diabetes, not to cure it.
