First seen Nov 18, 2025 · Last updated May 07, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study looks at whether keeping patients warm during gallbladder surgery can reduce inflammation and help them recover faster. About 128 adults having planned gallbladder removal will be randomly assigned to one of four groups: no warming, a warm air blanket, warmed IV fluids, or both. Researchers will measure body temperature and take blood samples before and after surgery to check for signs of inflammation.
