First seen Apr 10, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study looked at whether walking to the operating room instead of being wheeled on a stretcher can reduce anxiety before surgery. Over 1,200 adults having various surgeries took part. Researchers measured anxiety using a standard questionnaire. The goal was to see if this simple change helps patients feel more in control and less nervous.
