Can daily texts get you walking 1000 more steps?
NCT ID NCT05425641
Summary
This study tested whether daily text messages with simple behavior-change tips could help sedentary adults at risk for heart disease walk at least 1000 more steps per day. Over 600 participants used Fitbits to track their steps while receiving different combinations of goal-setting, planning, and feedback messages over 8 weeks. The research aimed to see if building confidence through these messages could lead to lasting increases in walking activity.
