First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated May 11, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study looked at whether simple tools like planning, phone reminders, and small rewards can encourage older adults who had a mild or moderate traumatic brain injury (TBI) to walk more. Over 12 weeks, 57 participants wore a Fitbit and received weekly check-in calls. The goal was to see if these behavioral tricks could boost daily walking and improve brain health.
