Could walking uphill be the key to easing COPD breathlessness?

NCT ID NCT06749262

Summary

This study aims to improve a standard exercise program for people with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). Researchers want to see if walking on an inclined treadmill is better than walking faster on a flat surface at helping patients feel less short of breath. About 54 Veterans with COPD will be randomly assigned to try one of these two walking methods during a 12-week exercise program.
