First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 30 times

Summary

This study tests whether a non-invasive device that sends a mild electrical current to the spine can improve walking when combined with treadmill training. 18 adults with incomplete spinal cord injury will receive either real or fake stimulation during 36 sessions. The goal is to see if the stimulation helps the spinal circuits re-learn and improve walking speed and endurance.
