New way to measure walking problems after stroke

NCT ID NCT07494890

First seen Apr 16, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study looks at why walking is harder for people who have had a stroke. Researchers will test a new method to measure walking efficiency using motion and force, comparing it to standard energy-use tests. 18 adults with chronic stroke who walk slowly will do three short treadmill walks. The goal is to better understand movement problems, not to provide treatment.
