This study tested an experimental daily tablet called VTX002 in people with moderate to severe ulcerative colitis, a chronic inflammatory bowel disease. About 213 participants were randomly assigned to receive one of two doses of VTX002 or a placebo for 13 weeks, with the option to continue treatment for up to 36 months.
