First seen Jan 12, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study tests a new imaging method called VTM that uses infrared light to find breast cancer earlier than standard mammograms. It aims to detect tumors before they are visible or palpable, without radiation or contact. The study will include 120 women with breast cancer who have not yet started treatment. The goal is to see if VTM can identify lesions and blood vessel changes that mammography might miss.
