VR training could match lifelike simulators for emergency doctor skills
NCT ID NCT07584863
First seen May 15, 2026 ยท Last updated May 15, 2026
Summary
This study compares virtual reality (VR) training with high-fidelity simulation (HFS) for teaching new doctors how to handle emergencies like severe allergic reactions and low oxygen levels. About 124 medical interns will be randomly assigned to either VR or HFS training, then tested on their performance. The goal is to see if VR can be as effective as the more expensive, lifelike simulators.
