Virtual reality could lift spirits of kidney patients on dialysis

Summary

This study tests whether a virtual reality (VR) program can help ease depression and improve quality of life for people on hemodialysis. About 61 adults with kidney failure and depressive symptoms will use a VR headset to practice positive thinking skills over 5 weeks. The goal is to see if this approach is practical and effective for improving emotional well-being.
