Scientists use VR to see if messy streets make you anxious
NCT ID NCT07216534
Summary
This study uses virtual reality to understand how the physical condition of a neighborhood—like litter, graffiti, or abandoned buildings—affects people's stress and anxiety. Researchers will compare participants' heart rate and anxiety when viewing a virtual version of their own street versus a 'cleaned-up' or 'messier' version. The goal is to learn how our surroundings impact mental and physical health, particularly for people with cancer or psychiatric conditions.
